Ravano Green Power

Ravano Green Power has just started the realization of its first 0,999MW biogas power station, in Piemonte.

The power station will produce every year 8.000.000 kWh of clean electric energy.
Raw materials come directly from neighbouring cultures and the waste, at the end of the biogas production, will be used as fertilizer for the same lands.

The biogas technology resolves many problems tied to the management of organic waste and allows an exploitation of agriculture production together with recovering depressed countryside offering job opportunities and sustaining the environment.

Since this technology depends from the agricultural world, Ravano green Power will sign long term biomass supply agreements with the main agricultural producers located nearby to the biogas power station.

A biogas plant uses energetic biomass like corn, wheat, sorghum, barley, rye, sunflower, zootechnics wastes, fruit wastes, slaughter wastes, nuts seeds and grass.

Biogas production starts from the biomass wet fermentation without oxygen inside of large pools of about 1000m3 (in case of 1MW power plant), where the bacterium production is guaranteed.

The substrate is then transferred to a second larger pool (about 2,400m3) where the biogas is produced; the biogas is purified purified and transferred to a cogenerator, while the substrate is stocked and then sold to farmers as fertilizer.

The biogas power station is fully automated and can be controlled from the Company headquarters allowing autonomous starts if the national grid stops the production of energy.
